First Visit in Well Over a Year

I've been to Softails numerous times when I lived in the area. This was my first visit in well over a year since I moved from the area. I went in expecting cheap drinks with a little bit of a show, but wanting to see if anything had changed.

Regarding the building, it looked like it had not changed since my last visit (as expected). Parking was still in the back and it was hard to find a spot in the small lot as it was very crowded this Friday afternoon into the early evening. When I entered, the layout was the same; plenty of seating at the bar that runs nearly the length of the building. Half a dozen of high-top tables were spread across the floor. The pool table was in the same place just off-center of the two corner stages at the other end of the bar. I took a seat at the bar and had a good view of the stages. There is no bad view of the stages as it is a tiny building. As expected I was able to get cheap drinks ($2 domestic bottles) as I watched the action unfold.

Keep in mind, Softails has calmed down from what it used to be. It used to have the reputation of being a blue-collar bar with dancers who are at the end of their stripping careers or could not get hired at the other clubs in the area. Long gone are the days when dancers got naked, fooled around with other dancers on stage, and supposedly offered extras. The local authorities have cracked down on this place. It is indeed a blue-collared, pastie bar thanks to the bible-belt laws that prevent nudity at businesses that sell alcohol. All of the dancers wore pasties and kept their panties on. One dancer initially went topless on stage but had them on during her second set. A few dancers offered peaks downstairs when tipped. There were six dancers on this day, all caucasian. The ages of the dancers looked to range from their early 20s to mid-30s. They were certainly an upgrade from the girls I remember they used to dance at Softails. There were no stunners or knockouts, but still somewhat attractive with toned to curvy bodies. I'd put them in the 5-7 range.
