I was in town for work and was not really in the mood for anything too involved although I had seen that NYC has a good AMP scene I decided to settle for a strip club fully expecting to overpay but I wanted a few drinks and a nice lady to talk to. The club itself was smaller then what I am used to but it is NYC so I was expecting it. In total it looks like there is 3 floors there although I was only ever on 1 and 3. It was clean, the right lighting, and there is 1 big stage in the end of the room with a bunch of smaller tables and chairs around like any strip club. The music, staff, DJ, etc all were about what you would expect in a club. The only thing that I did not appreciate was how pushy the house was in VIP when I got there which I will talk about below.

The staff for the most part was really friendly, the bouncer at the front of the house made nice small talk when checking my ID and showed me around for a minute asking if I need anything. They have a coat/hat check there as well. The bartender worked quick and was super nice and cute. Ratio was nice from what I could see there was about 20 patrons there and about 10 ladies on the floor. I spent most of my time in VIP so I do not know how many were in circulation but for the most part seemed like if a guy wanted a girl to sit with him there was plenty to choose from. The range of dancers was nice as well. All the main races were represented there. I was at the bar for about 30 seconds and I already had a dancer hitting me up. Normally I would prefer to get a drink, sit for a few dancers and then start getting some one on one time but this one was really aggressive and I just went with it. She was a tall curvy Hispanic with long black hair, and was very hands on.

Cover to get in I think was 20$, maybe 10$ I cannot remember exactly. I ordered a beer and a drink for my new friend and it came out to 22$ which was steep but not for NYC it seemed. When we hit the floor and she sat in my lap to make small talk she started to dance for me. I have been to a lot of clubs all over the states and this is the first time this happened to me where I wasn't sure if I was getting a dance or if she was just teasing me to get me to go get VIP because it was not a typical tableside dance as she started and stopped a lot. A ton of talking, I though she was just really trying to get me to take her upstairs. I also never asked for or agreed to a dance. After talking she had convinced me to do VIP which was going to be $300 for 30 minutes, and we can go from there. I agreed and as I stood up she said that I owed her 100 for the dances I already got. I was really surprised and not wanting to cause a problem I paid her the $100 after thinking back realizing I just got hustled. I almost called it off there but I should have realized what was going on it was just so on the line it could have gone either way. We went up stairs, I paid the house and tipped the lady running the desk $50. She looked at the tip, and said to me "that is it?" Now I been to clubs all over and have paid as low as 10$ for a dance to as high as 35$ for a dance and typically have a good sense of not being cheap. This pissed me off as I had tipped without her even asking and she is just running the desk. I told her yes that is it, we were shown to a room and curtains were closed.
