The Tropics can be cool
This place has what is very much a dive bar vibe to it inside and out. Got there a little after 6 and parked in the lot across the street, plenty of parking there. Since it was before 7 there was no cover. The layout has 2 pool tables in the back, with several TVs on the back wall. The bar stretches across the club with seating on the back and front sides of the bar. The main stage runs across the front of the bar with a catwalk that extends from the main stage almost all of the way to the bar. There are half a dozen or so tables along both sides of the catwalk. The bathrooms are to the right of the bar. Private dance areas run up the right side and the front of the club.
There were 7 or 8 dancers there, surprisingly attractive for the most part, ranging from 5-7's. However, they tended to hang out with the hand full of regulars who were there, or shoot pool, lol. I was only approached by one dancer in the hour or so I was there. The bartender was extremely attractive, but again definitely tended to pay way more attention to the regulars. Beer prices were $4.75 for domestic bottles, a little more for craft beers, not a bad price. Music was a mix ranging from dance music to classic rock.
Overall, it was a cheap hour of looking at some fairly attractive ladies, but not much interaction. Worth going back and checking out again.
