Repeat Offender

I had such a great time at HK a few weeks ago that I had to go back. I told myself that I would wait a couple of months, but I couldn’t. So I headed down to the border. I got there late afternoon on a Tuesday. San Ysidro was bustling with traffic. I parked at the place to the left of The Jack In The Box. Rather than behind it, and up the hill. I was trying to make my exit the next day a little easier. There’s no LONG STEEP hill to negotiate up after a vigorous night of drinking, and playing in TJ this way. Once again, there was no line to get in. I was immediately waved up by the one the agent working. I handed him my passport. He glanced at it, didn’t stamp it, and waved me through without a word from either of us.

I usually stop at the new pharmacy just across the street from the near taxi line to stock up on my Rx needs. Got my generic Cialis. As I stated here before, prices here seem reasonable for a place that is so conveniently located. $38 for 16 20mg pills. I bite them in half, as that seems to do the trick. I remember paying much more at other places in the past. And FYI, if you aren’t sure if they work, let me tell you… THEY DO!

Taxi wanted $8. The days of $5 to get to HK seem to be over. We settled on 7. Some things I haggle on for the heck of it in TJ, some things I just pony up. Don’t ask me why, or where I draw the line. I don’t know myself. I had my VIP card from last trip (cost of $60), so the newly remodeled room with 2 queen beds was only $27. No one escorted me to the room.
