Low energy in the wake of the College World Series

It had been several months since I had last visited. You arrive in an area that is by a closed hotel and an old storage facility, it’s weirdly off the side of the road and the outside of the building looks like a murder fest, Once you go inside you are met by the bouncer who checks your ID, charges you a $10 cover and then wands you down before you head in. Once you head in you get to a large area around a small main stage. Lots of tables and chairs and they are fairly comfortable. There is a bar toward the back with a full liquor setup and a small private area for dances across from the bar and then behind the bar is the much larger VIP area.

When we got in the place was dead and no girls were on stage and there were only four dancers hanging around. Waitress came by and too our order and drink prices were fairly reasonable, two mixed drinks and a beer came out to $24 before tip. We sat down and waited for the stage shows to start. Finally a girl went up to the stage and put on a lackluster display and I was beginning to think the night would be a bust and then suddenly a wave of girls came in right around ten and the stage shows and talent picked up considerably. There were tons of attractive dancers and the stage show were high energy. Tips at the stage generally result in some good attention and either a mini lap dance with crotch to the face or boobs to the face. Either way I’m not complaining.

As dancers outnumbered customers my buddies and I were soon swarmed by dancers, while this was initially quite pleasant I was on a budget and was planning on doing drinks and stage tips and not necessarily dances. After a while it got tough to keep finding polite ways to say no to the dance proposals. Although it got easier when most of the dancers pushed the VIP rooms HARD. Here are the rooms and relative prices as they were explained to me. The main Lap dance area is $25/song with a no touching rule. My buddy who partook explained that that wasn’t really a thing with the girl he went with. Then there’s a 15min. Tooless mini-VIP area where it’s topless and touching and finally the closed door VIP’s prices I was quoted ranged from $600-800 for a half hour and $1000-1400 for an hour. Inquiries as to why it was SO much more expensive than the 15 min. Rooms were met with vague assurances of “Being more fun” or “We’ll work the details out later.” My buddy who is from Detroit and I (who lived there at one time) both laughed at the prices being quoted. Dancers did come by and sit in laps and that was quite pleasant. It did seem like dancer drinks were more than drinks for the guys, not sure what to make of that detail.
