Wishing for the good ole days
So I haven't been back here since pre covid, so last week decided to stop by one or two of my old regular locations. SR had been my go-to club for years, visiting at least once or twice a month. Its west LA but was always convenient. SR used to have anywhere from 5 to 10 dancers almost always by mid afternoon, and yes, there were some very consistent, regular dancers one could always count on. Yes, mileage was always available, pricey then and from the sounds of it, even pricer today but with diminished talent and less options. If you ever went here pre covid and pre remodel, the place was a gem with very private dance areas to be found in multiple areas. Post remodel, they killed that vibe, and post covid, changed the options in areas as well. The very back corner remains the "VIP" area, min $300 to $600 depending on if you wanted 15 minutes or 30 minutes, and other than the 30 min area which is the far back corner, the 15 min is in the back, turn right, and you sit with the wall behind you but not that private. Anyway, otherwise, the girls will tell you that you are limited on what is offered in those other locations, but be prepared to fork over $50 per song, which I have to laugh at because here you have ZERO specials that I heard offered.
Anyway familiar with SR will also remember N, from the past, and she still dances today. I didn't partake but I have to imagine her dances are still high mileage, but my personal choice if I get a dance is for younger. The other dancers there on this trip were not of great quality. There was a black dancer that seemed in her 20's but being kind would have said about a 5; a white dancer that I would have given a 3 at best, and another dancer in the back that never came out. I stayed for a bit, not ONE stage dance which I assume was because I was the only patron, there was another customer there that came out of the back and talked with N for a bit, then left. I bought my $20 water, asked for the smaller water but was given the larger water. I had thought the waster was less than $20 but never got change and I left shortly afterwards so who knows.
I have to be honest, I still find it hard to believe this club remains open. I thought it had fallen way off prior to COVID, but at least you had some good looking dancers. Maybe I just picked an off day, but quality of dancers was terrible, other than N, but she is also 40 ish I suppose. Parking here isnt great, if you park on the street you have 30 minutes on one side, hour on the opposite, or park in the back and come back with dents from the cars parked next to you (yes, had a nice dent in my car from parking in the back lot). So poor parking, they didnt ask for an entry fee which was nice, but the doorman had left so I just walked in, maybe they still charge $5 which was the old price. Dances are short, expensive, and quality at this trip was poor.
