Upselling ruined the experience

I was in town on a work trip, won big at Harrah's, decided to go blow my winnings on Bourbon Street. Why I decided to turn into this place instead of the several more legitimate looking establishments I don't know... Actually I do know but we aren't going to talk about that.

The lady at the door stopped me, didn't check ID, just stopped me for some reason and motioned to the bartender and let me through. Jack and Coke was like $12.

Place is gross. Dirty, dimly lit, one stage that looks like it would give the girls splinters. Overall, complete dive. There were MAYBE 10 patrons. Bourbon Street was packed, and there were 10 people in here, that should have been a clue.
