A Real Step Down

I was in Tulsa with some free time. Four of the five Tulsa strip clubs are clustered within about 10 minutes from my hotel, so I decided to do some exploring. Lipstick Cabaret’s last review on TUSCL was in July 2021, and before that the most recent review was from 2020, so I decided to take one for the team and write a more recent report for y’all.

Visited from about 10:30-11:00 on a Friday night. Free parking in a paved and lighted lot, $10 cover, and a request to scribble my name on the guest list. No other security, and no masks anywhere. Bottled water (my drink of choice) was – I forget – two or three bucks.

Having just come from Lady Godiva’s, this was a real step down in virtually every respect. Where LG’s was hopping on a Friday night, this place was really dead. Maybe one other customer and about half a dozen dancers, all white, mostly clustered together at one of the tables. There was a small stage, but no one was dancing because there was no one to dance for yet. The place looked really run down, dark and dingy. There was a DJ playing rock music – loud, but not so loud that you couldn’t have a conversation if you spoke up.
