Death of day shift in Columbus?

I’ve reviewed this club before, as have many others, so I won’t spend much time on the physical layout as it’s been covered. Large rectangular bar to your right as you enter, separated from the main stage and seating to your left. Three larger and a number of much smaller, closet sized private dance rooms surround the main seating area. The place is nice, a bit dated but we’ll kept, if you’ve been to a higher end strip club anywhere you can imagine what it looks like. Ample and free parking, no cover for day shift.

I’m posting this review because I honestly think the day shift in Columbus may be dead with the closing of Kahoots and Sirens, if there is an active day shift in Columbus, I don’t know where it is. Vanity had a decent day shift for the last couple of years, but my last two visits have been complete busts. I stopped by in the late afternoon, around 5p, last fall, and found a sparse crowd and only a couple of girls working. That kept me away for a while but I found myself with some time and in the area last week at prime day shift time, around 2p. I was optimistic as I pulled up as the parking lot was quite full for a day shift. As I entered the club I found out why, although I’m still not sure I understand it. The bar area was packed with guys, but there was literally on girl at the end of the bar plus the bartender and no girls on stage or anywhere else to be seen.

I was already there so I sat down, ordered a beer ($5) and waited to see if there were other girls in the back. No such luck. I sat and nursed my beer for 30 minutes and zero change. A bunch of guys, ranging from older guys to younger guys who looked like construction workers sitting around shooting the shit and one girl sitting with an older guy at the end of the bar. I thought about flagging down the bartender to ask what was up but she was swamped serving all the sausages around the bar, so I finished my beer and walked out with a pocket full of cash. I obviously didn’t get any dances, but no reason to think that prices have changed if they can get dancers in to provide them.
