Trip report 5/14/22

Drove to the border approximately 8:30 pm on a Saturday night. Attempted to park behind Jack-in-the-Box but lot was full so I parked over by the closed Ped West crossing and walked over to the open crossing. Parking for the night was $18. Crossed the border easily and was simply waived through. Attempted to obtain a FMM form online prior to crossing but the site was down due to “Captcha” issues. As it turned out, it was not needed. Last trip I had it with me, but they wouldn’t take it. While walking out of the boarder crossing about midway through the HK representative opened the gate allowing me to take the short cut across to the limo.

Arrived, tipped $3 to the driver and headed up to Hotel Cascadas to check into my room. Had issues with check-in due to incorrect room assignment. They attempted to pass off a jacuzzi room as a Master Suite. Eventually assigned a Master Suite on 3rd floor. Requested higher floor but they insisted this was all that was available as it is Saturday and to check again on Sunday to move rooms. Went to room and verified all items in working order because there have been too many times that I’ve brought a BG to the room only to find the drain on the jacuzzi non-functional or other issues with the room.
