Fun if you're around and willing to spend some money
First time in NOLA, left for Penthouse later in the evening (around 11PM). Cover was $12. We had actually ducked into another strip club (Larry Flint's I think) but it did not look great so immediately left.
The club is decent, bright. There are two stages on the main floor and a VIP area with its own stage in the back. We were quoted $50 per person for our group of 6 for the VIP, which we declined. Most of the dancers were fairly attractive with a few standouts. I met two that caught my eye: Demi, a brunette with really cool tats and great figure, and Ivy, a busty blonde petite spinner. Dances ranged from $40-$50 depending on the dancer. You go up to the second floor for dances. There are two areas, a semi - secluded booth or if you get lucky, there are rooms with a small couch that are blocked off by swinging doors. Which makes for great privacy for a dance. Every dance I had upstairs was good two way contact. You can decide if the privacy and the contact justify the steep price (I personally tend to lean towards no). There's a private room option with a fully closed door for ~$500 or so if you pay cash I think. No hints at any extras so YMMV there. Seems like the other reviews suggest that's a no go in NOLA.
One warning from my experience: I was offered a dance for $40 which I thought would be upstairs and ended up being on the main floor. Was not worth it at all. So perhaps just confirm you're getting a dance upstairs before you make my mistake.
