Did I Just Get Lucky? (I didn’t stick to the carpet this time.)
Disclaimer: This is going to sound like a club ad to a few, but, I have been coming here even before it was Deja Vu and watched it evolve and devolve. My review is positive because I had a much-improved experience compared to past visits, and it is worth describing those improvements if you haven't been in a while. The club is clearly trying hard to improve.
They don’t open until 7:00 these days and don’t really get rolling until 8:30. (This listing says they open at noon most days.) I arrived at 7:40 and the cashier said there was only one dancer and three waitresses. She promised more would arrive by 8:00. I had an old coupon that gave me $10 off the whopping $27 cover and I figured that I could wait it out. No wand search, metal detector, or ID check. Free parking, and when I left, there was a security person hanging out in the parking lot. It is an industrial area, but I have been coming here for decades. For a time had an office nearby and always felt safe.
It has been a few years since I had been here. The combination of Covid, evening-only hours, past poor experiences, unattractive girls, and frequent trips to Tijuana left me “unmotivated” to spend my money here. However, I happen to be passing through and I wanted to take a break from the road and feed my addiction. Worst case, I would throw a few dollars to the stage and leave. Basic layout is the same. Bar and bathrooms on the left of the entrance. A large two-pole stage. Private rooms in the back.
