Platinum Shines Again

COMING IN

Platinum sat about a quarter mile off the interstate, in a fairly nondescript neighborhood of restaurants and shops. Sketchy spa next door and Tattletales down the street. Building looked like it had seen better days, but I've seen worse. You have to valet your car, I think it was $10 and for cover, they just said "drop something in the tip jar." I put in $2. You'll get wanded and your junk frisked.

LAYOUT

The club is a bit dark, very smoky (cigarettes and hookah) and deceptively large. There are three "rooms," the first one with the bar in front and a stage in back (that saw a little use), the one on the right with a bunch of chairs, a smaller bar, and the VIP, and the one on the left with the most-used stage and couches all along the side. The bathroom troll has the better part of a CVS in there, but didn't try the hard sell. Maybe I just caught him unaware. But who cares, if the troll will make or break your visit, you're on the wrong site.
