Slow recovery but still around
Spearmint Rhino is your typical strip club a few minutes from DTLA and I've visiting for years. Don't let the neighborhood get to you despite it being in a rather dirty industrial area. I don't know why they had to add a scary looking chain link fence with barbed wire around the establishment. I think that was a terrible decision because it kills the vibe and it's no surprise the taco truck guy is gone. It's perfectly safe granted I wouldn't walk here.
Entry to the club is a kind of pricey $30 with one free drink and no booze. There's one main decently sized stage with seating all around, some VIP tables, several lap dance rooms with one having long bench with separation from other patrons that go for about $30 a song. A slightly more expensive option is full nude dances in a bigger room for $35 a song. There are several VIP rooms with some being slightly bigger than the others that are around $200 and up.
The staff is nice and once your inside the club it's a bit on the older side but well kept. Good lighting, a small bar, no smoking, no food and music at levels that still allows for conversations to be possible. Customers range from pretty much everyone from random blue collar folks, business people, etc. and your occasionally b-list celebrity.
