Be Prepared

I have never ventured into one of the clubs in the Detroit area even though I've been to the area many times. I had a little time after landing so I decided to take advantage of a Sunday night to visit The Landing Strip Lounge as it was close to the airport and my final destination. It was a Sunday night, so my expectations where a little low heading into it. Hopefully I would be surprised.

I found it on the map and parked my car to find out that there was mandatory valet parking going on and there went $7. I made my way upstairs to the entrance where the $20 entry fee was taken and they explained where to sit. You can either pay for a booth, but I'm not sure how much, sit at the bar, or sit next to the long airplane shaped stage. The lounge looks bigger from the outside but it is essentially one large room for the stage and bar. I took a sit by the stage where I could observe the place. There were two girls on the stage doing more prancing than dancing but they were certainly pretty to look at. The waitress come over and told me she had to put a drink on the table so there is another mandatory charge and I had myself an $8 coke. (Don't drink alcohol)

Girls on the stage were very shapely. Mostly white dancers with two AA dancers around. I believe there were a total of about 8 girls working that night that I saw. The girls were a mix of curvy and petite and overall quality was very good for a Sunday night. I tipped a bit from my seat and got the attention of a well endowed blond girl. She came over and we chatted before discussing some private dances down in the basement. I thought I would see what it was all about and followed her down. It was another $20 to the bouncer to have a small space on a little couch. The "room" was basically nothing but curtains but it was essentially private. I can tell you I was unprepared for what was next as soon as the dancing started the negotiations for extras began. The lap dances were not really dances as they sat on my lap and tried to talk me into extras. I'm sure she was a willing girl and would have been good but I was not prepared for that type of attention. As soon as I pushed back on the extras the already lower quality lap dance pretty much came to an end. we spent maybe five minutes together behind the curtains and it cost me $150 plus tip. Very suspect but I am from out of town and maybe an easy target.
