A fun dancer plus a quick update on the old Tommy's Too.
This is my second trip to Shimmers in the last couple of weeks. I hesitated writing the first review, since I have written a number of them on this club. I wanted to confirm the fun I had on the first visit before sharing. Before I start with the review, I pulled in to the parking lot of the old Tommy’s Too and there were two notices posted on the door. One stating that Foster Strip had applied for a business license. Another one stating that Foster Strip had applied for a liquor license. The good news, I suspect this club will be in operation shortly. The bad news, with the liquor license request, I don’t expect this club to have the same level of entertainment as Tommy’s. Will we see?
Shimmers is always hit or miss and they seem to accept all kinds of dancers (spinners to heavy weights). Not that I am against any lady wanting to dance and there seems to be mongers that like all sizes. I really prefer neither of those styles (spinners/heavy) and add a bunch of tats/piercings and I am moving away from the rack (stage). Thankfully, we all don’t like the same type of dancer as it would make this world a little boring. The dancer (see below) that I am writing about today has either an athletic or HWP body. I get confused on the difference. When I ready a comment on a review recently that stated, “There are no athletic bodies east of downtown, I keep wondering if I just don’t understand the difference. There is a dancer at The Venue that gets up on the rail and repeatedly slams her privates on that rail .she also does a hand stand and with the splits, naked. Lot of pole work with a lot of these type of dancers. It seems athletic to me and they are not skinny. What the hell do I know? Okay, on to today’s adventure.
Shimmers is a local dive bar, but is fairly decent in size. I am never here in the evenings, but this club has had a few shootings in the past. Also, it is located in a sketchy part of town near the notorious SE 82nd ave. Back before the internet and my younger days, it was a popular “ladies of the night” stretch. Shimmers has a fairly large stage and another smaller one that I have never seen used. I have been picking on racks lately on my reviews, but I really like the one at this club. The stage is off the ground and the rail is high enough to get your chair under. It is low enough that a dancer can easily climb over and get in your lap. Also, wide enough that a dancer can sit on it to show you her goods if she chooses.
