The most handling ever

Chicas Bonitas was, I think, the closest club to where I was staying in downtown Austin. It was an easy 10-minute/$10 in a ride share. There's an arcade (the "Texas Gaming Lounge") a few buildings down, which had a couple of interesting games and a room of consoles hooked up to big screens. The walk from there to the club was pretty sketchy, including at least one ruined building and the lot the club used for parking. The club itself is nothing special from the outside, though there was a taco truck set up that was open late. I didn't try the food, but it smelled pretty good.

There were only a couple of parking spots right at the club. I think the optional valet parking (presumably to the lot I walked by) was $10. The cover charge was $15. Inside, the club was a reasonably big square room, with a bar on one side and a small stage (or two?) across from it. The other two sides included some bench seating and then the dance room. The floor was filled with tables and padded metal chairs. The club was punishingly loud, with the music cranked up beyond the ability of the speakers to handle so they buzzed. A bottle of water was $6. A Corona for a dancer was $8.

There was a surprising number of dancers, more than the decent number of patrons. They spanned the spectrum of skin color, and body shape, but were entirely Latina. Most were Cuban, though there were some from Mexico and elsewhere, and at least a couple that were American. For most of them, English was a struggle and even my pathetic Spanish was helpful. Not that there was much conversation given the volume. For a dive, I was impressed with the dancer quality. Most were reasonably fit, and only a couple were seriously overweight or otherwise unpleasant. Most were natural, with a few augmented breasts and butts.
