lunch at the PM
Working from home, and Paper Moon is not too far so I decided to take a long lunch break and check it out. Was on Friday a week ago, arrived around 12:15. Club is easy to get to, with plenty of free parking at that time of day. Paid 5$ cover and a couple of bucks tip to the door girl. As you might expect getting to a club at lunch right as doors open... the place was still pretty dead. Four dancers all sitting at a table by the door chatting, nobody up on stage yet, no other customers (couple of other dancers and some other customers did trickle in by the time I left). I was on a limited time schedule and didn't want to f*ck around figuring out the lay of the land, so I immediately brought all the dancers up to the bar and ordered a round of shots for each plus bartender. Variety of shots ordered, all around $7.00ish each. In VA I guess clubs can't serve hard alcohol (?) just wine/champagne/beer, so shots were wine or champagne based, e.g., moon bombs, etc. I also grabbed a couple of beers. Yuengling, Blue moon, Modelo $6 each. Club had a free lunch item from a limited menu as part of the cover so I ordered some chicken strips and fries, which were decent.
Right after the shots, they got the dance rotation started. Floor has a low, medium size main stage with a pole on one end closest to the bar. Lap dance area is a long room behind the main stage, with a few open booths for basic lap dances, and another curtained off area for private dances. There is a second small circular stage with a pole at the far end of the floor opposite the main stage. Against that wall are a couple of VIP rooms. So, two private/LD dance areas in the club. One thing I didn't like about the floor... they had roped off a runway up to the stage, and also roped off a row of tables against the third wall. Probably reserved tables at night, but all it seems to do is crowd the tables on the smallish floor and I could see some clumsy ass in the dim lighting stumbling over the ropes after a couple of drinks. Kind of odd, maybe it makes more sense at night when there is a crowd.
Dancers and bartender were cute and friendly. All were really, really slim build, four white girls and one light skin black girl. None really my type and I was on a limited time schedule so I didn't do a room, just threw some ones at the stage. On the wall at the bouncer station at entrance of the lap dance area there is a menu and prices for dances and VIP. It's $200 for a 15 min lap dance in an open booth, and then escalates from there. I don't know what the dancer's cut is, if they push for a tip etc. so could end up being more than that.
