Something needs to change
This will not be a long one. This has always been a favorite spot to stop by over the last 15+ years. Always stop 3 or 4 times a year. Unfortunately, it is not what it used to be. Always liked the atmosphere and that has not changed much. It was always a great place to relax, talk to the dancers, spend money and not be surrounded by 18 year-olds that crowd the stage. Unfortunately, the dancers have disappeared. I believe the LD are $30 per song and 3 for $75, but don't hold me to that. That is still a cheaper than Daisy Dooks ($40 per 3 song).
Last Saturday night, there were only 4 dancers around midnight. As far as I was concerned, they should have just closed their doors for the night. I did overhear that there was a disagreement the previous night and a bunch of dancers either quit or didn't show up. Hopefully they can find some new talent soon (and get some of them back). I really didn't find any of the 4 dancers appealing to me. It was the first time that I left without getting a LD. I would never suggest that SoCo's is full of 9s and 10s, but they would always have a great variety...thick/thin, real/fake, white/black/Hispanic (occasionally an Asian).
Not sure what I will do the next time I pass thru the Quad Cities. The options in the Quad Cities are dwindling, so hopefully SoCos will rebound soon.
