My favorite spot in the Twin Cities

This review is written based on my experiences over three or so visits to KoD. I'm not a huge club goer, but overall the only club I've been to that's better than KoD is the Acropolis in Portland, and that's only because they have really good steaks.

The location itself is out of the way, I'd almost say rural for the cities, you have to go a few miles off the highway and cross some railroad tracks to get there. Plenty of parking outside, and the lot is pretty well lit. They have a security 'airlock' as you walk in, and you pay your cover there. I went during COVID times, and they were very clear about their masking rules, particularly that it was up to me, but the dancer could ask me to wear one which I didn't find onerous (nobody did ask).

When you walk in, there are a half dozen or so high tables far from the stages, a bar to the left, and lining the walls near the stages are vinyl chairs with cupholders that are big enough for two to sit side by side, with velvet rolling chairs at the side of the stage. They have two stages, but if you're there earlier, the entire upper section is roped off so you just have the lower area. The place is dark, but it feels intimate and not dingy by any means. I've also been back to the VIP and that area is nice. Semi-private stage and chair with 8 different spots, monitored by an employee on camera.
