A Sunday Night Dud, A Tame (But More Promising) Friday
Rolled up for my first visit ever on a Sunday night in January. Parked on the street right outside. It's adjacent to the 405, open free parking. A few 'permanent' RVs grace the block, but generally the street feels safe and quiet.
It was a cold and rainy night, I was bored as hell. The website mentions they are open until 4a, so I rolled up around midnight. Considering the weather, date, and time, I'm not sure what I was realistically expecting... but I arrived to a dead club. The doorman seemed to hem and haw when I walked up, but ultimately said they were open and let me past the velvet rope. He stipulated that there were no more stage acts, only table dances. Whatever. I went in. They didn't charge me cover, all things considered.
The place wasn't as dim as I've heard it described. Honestly, it might have felt less depressing if it were a little darker. This place was a ghost town. There were 2 guys sitting alone, and an older guy talking to a black girl whose back was to me. Didn't really get a sense of her looks. I saw one other 7 talking to a server, who I made eye contact with inadvertently.
