TOFTT, Part I
Heard about this new place and decided to check it out when I had a free afternoon. To summarize up front: this place is a small but clean dive bar that is just getting up and running and haven’t worked everything out yet.
A neighborhood dive bar was bought and renovated, giving a fresh coat of paint and a sunken stage (or “pit”) with rack was added. Parking is in the back as is the correct entrance to use. As you enter the pit is ahead, the bar to the left, poker machines of to 45 degrees at left and two curtained lap dance rooms (with white cameras on the ceiling) to the right, each containing a clean new armchair with a grab bar above for various maneuvers. The place is quite small - smallest club I have been to in quite a while. There is no “nice” part of 82nd - not sure I would come here at night and the lone dancer I mention below said as much I.e. she was only going to work days.
No one was dancing as I arrived at 3:45PM. I sat at the bar and the bartender lady was nice enough to make me a drink she had not made before. She said she was new to the strip club scene. I asked if there were dancers and apparently zero of 4 had shown up for the noon shift. As I got my drink one lady (of 4) from the 4PM shift came on. Music is played via juke box - no DJ or bouncer here - low overhead. After chatting and tipping at the rack, which the lone dancer perched on, I agreed to a dance. Bargain seekers pay heed: only $25 a dance for full nude with fairly open contact, especially given the camera over head. While touching was invited, only a bit of caressing was returned - nothing that would allow one to leave really happy. I suppose I could have kept going after 3 songs - the girl was cute and friendly and I enjoyed her company - but I didn’t think it would have gone anywhere more exciting had I continued, so I hugged her and departed for a second place to get my jollies.
