Don’t Make A Special Trip

I made a recent Saturday night visit to Sonny’s Cabaret. I arrived around 9:30, plenty of parking, huge lot, $10 cover charge. No ID check anymore.

They have remodeled a little bit, they took out the booths along the front wall, replaced those with chairs. They removed the elevated bottle service section in the back of the room that nobody ever used. Otherwise, about the same, bar to the left as you walk in, big stage in the middle of the room, tables and chairs around the stage. Drink prices increased a bit, now $7 for a bottle of beer, was previously $6, no big deal but an annoyance. I was told the same happened with mixed drinks. Waitstaff was friendly and efficient, one hot former dancer amongst them, she should really start dancing again, just a gorgeous girl. Decent size crowd but not nearly full. Mostly blue collar types, several couples.

Dance prices changed a bit too. Still no $10 or $20 dance options. Cheapest option is $60 for 2 dances, then it jumps to $125 for 4 dances, it was previously $110 for 4 dances, again another annoyance. Both of those options are done in the screened off section of the club along the south wall. They also offer 30 minutes for $250. There are some higher priced options too, I have no idea what those prices are. I did make a couple of visits to the 4 for $125 area, dances are the same, roaming hands encouraged to a point, nothing crazy though.
