Can’t Justify It for Akron Area

So this place was purchased - and is now called Peppermint Hippo. (Sounds strangely similar to Spearmint Rhino). Anyways - the layout is you walk in to a foyer where you pay your cover which was $5 this Monday evening i attended. When you walk in the main stage in Front of you. The bar is to the left and the bathrooms are to the right. There are seats by the main stage with tables. There is also a lower level that they seemed to not be using. The dances are done in two different areas. The regular dances are $20 each and are in a room with leather padded couches with basic dividers but with very little privacy - the dances are VERY short. The VIP dances are $125 for 15min and are upstairs in a room with just a little more privacy.

My main complaint about this place is that Akron is an area with strip clubs that largely fit the bill of Akron. It’s not the economics of NYC or NJ - and these prices are fit to be right there and not in Akron. There was literally nothing that made this place any better than any of the other area Akron clubs. Mileage was less than Gatsbys where you can get $5 bar dances with more contact and for a full song! I can’t say I’d recommend this place. It may look nice inside but that’s just not enough to justify the price for the area.
