Taking a Break on the Long Drive Home

I was traveling back from Georgia to South Florida, and decided to break up my trip up with a stop at Bottom’s Up in New Smyrna. New Smyrna is just south of Daytona and east of I-95. This club has a very old school strip club vibe to it. The bar has 5 barstools at it. There is a long narrow stage surrounded by tables on either side. Then there are more chairs and tables towards the back of the club by the restrooms. The lap dance / vip area is actually upstairs in a loft, but you can’t see the loft from downstairs. Walking up those stairs with your dancer’s ass swaying back and forth right in front of you is definitely one of the perks of this place.

No parking or cover charge before 8:00 (not sure when they start charging). Water was $3.50, beer 4.50 and mixed drinks $7.50. The place has like 10 TVs, but only 3 appeared to be working.

First tip, don’t arrive early. This place may open in the afternoon, but the two times I visited, there were no dancers until after 8:00pm and then only 1 or two. Most of the dancers seem to arrive around 9:00 or later. However, to make up for it, the cute bartender, “Trailor Swift” will get on stage and dance a few songs. After her time on stage tonight, she sat down with the only other customer in the place at this hour. He obviously was a regular because he started giving her a back message that evolved into a very intimate sensual massage right there at the bar.
