If Dawn’s vault wasn’t full of millions of dollars, you’d have to feel sorry for how the managers and the entertainers they have hired and managed, have steadily destroyed what was Dawn’s gold mine. I don’t know if Dawn lacks the business acumen to fix her business or is unwilling to bring in the right consultants, but any business executive worth his salt should be able to help this nice lady get to the root cause of her problems and put together a strategy to fix her business. Wouldn’t it make a great episode of The Profit if Marcus became Dawn’s partner and tried to fix her strip club?
In all seriousness, this place is a ghost town every night of the week. I stop in frequently and it’s always the same. I will occasionally get a drink or two and have dinner at the bar, but I haven’t seen a girl in this club worth spending money on in years. I have been going to this club ever since Nick built it, so I have been able to watch the rise and steady decline of this business. It’s really quite sad and I think their longtime employees know how bad business is and they know it’s not the pandemic. Other clubs down the street are packed.
If Dawn would ever sell her baby and an opportunist wanted to buy this business, it would be so easy to fix it.
1. Immediately fire the manager(s) that have been hiring dancers. Yes, that’s #1 move.
2. Crack down on the extras being done upstairs...really crack down! All of the hookers that work for her will quit on their own and the ones that stay will quickly learn that they will not be able to make money performing extras upstairs. The beautiful girls that have quit or wouldn’t work there because they won’t do extras, will come back and they will draw in the customers that don’t like being hustled for extras.
3. Re-establish the club as a true gentlemen’s club - promote lap dances, great food and drinks, excellent service.
