Sometimes one needs to know when to fold them

I headed back to the Purple Orchid last week pre Christmas hoping to get myself a present. Given the girls were buying gifts for the holidays I assumed more and a greater variety were going to be there given the eventual need to pay.

When I walked in the place was empty, no Christmas decorations that I noted. Nothing new to speak of. I found my seat at the far end of the bar and waited for my drink. And waited and waited. You get the picture. After 10 minutes the bartender appears and fills some other orders before finally getting my Miller beer. She eventually stated she has another business that takes up her time and requires she be on the phone. Needless to say I assume she is not long for this club. Maybe staffing will improve this year.

So my first 15 minutes were piss poor but I assumed things would get better. Again it started out bad. Mahogany had her sights on me but I was able to avoid the line of fire. She can be fun but after a few times it starts getting old and time for some new blood.
