It was Rest a Bit, nothing more, nothing less.
So I used to visit this club almost anytime I was in the area and have had many good times and enjoyable evenings over the years. On this particular visit, I came in late afternoon, early evening. No cover, drinks were reasonable for a strip joint. Between 5 and 10 dancers on. Mostly hispanics, I'd say in their 30s and one or two older white chicks. Historically the club has been low hustle and has had a fairly chill and laid back feel to it.
My last few visits, I felt like the dollar parade got over the top and far too many girls seem to be expecting several dollars each trip around and would make several laps around. Frankly some look better than others, but those who were somewhat attractive seem to think they were utterly gorgeous and few were conversationistis. Frankie the owner is a cool guy and he'll buy you a drink or two if he's in a good mood. The extra curtain is still not up and nothing extra is going on in the club, but nearly every girl seems to offer take out and for often outrageous prices (one girl, less then attractive and sounded like she was drunk or high, asked me out of the blue if I would pay a grand to take her home... no thanks). First the recession and now the pandemic has been especially hard on strip clubs and the like and things have only gotten worse from where they were a few years ago.
I still like the bar as a chill local bar feel and to enjoy the view or company of some attractive women, but my last few visits were disappointing. Everybody needs to make money, but I felt too many of the few that I saw were way too aggressive and wound't take no for an answer. So rather then an enjoyable few hours of a few beers, polite conversation that could lead to some dances and fun, but today it was stuck up girls who were a bit too desperate to sell a dance and I think I can find other clubs in the area that offer a better selection.
