Border Crossing into Mexico

As I have asked in the TJ Monger discussion, my passport was 3 months away from expiring and FMM online wouldn't allow me to fill out the form saying my passport expiration date is in 180 days of expiring. Hence, I just showed up at the border and they forced me to buy the 180 day visa and paid $30. Had I been able to fill out the form, I would have been able to avoid this fee like I did during my visit back in August of this year. Anyways, I filled out the form, crossed the border. Tried to call Uber, which showed the fare to HK for approximately $3.80, the app kept glitching, so I decided to just use the cab. I asked how much. "Cuantas cuesta a la Hong Kong?" The cab attendant said, "Six dollars", then I told him I never have paid $6 and asked him why they keep raising the price. Then he said, "I think you heard that from other people, but it's always been $6". Then I said, "No, I wasn't told that price. This is like my 10th visit and I know from my experience". Then he said, "Okay. Five dollars". I know right? Anyways, I get into the cab and got off at HK.
