HK: setting the bar for all others

The only other trip that I had made to to Tijuana to club was in May, 2019 and like this trip, I had time for one night of fun. On this particular trip I had work in San Diego and ubered to the border around noon on Friday. With passport and global entry/sentri card in hand, as well as a completed FMM form, I showed my documents and walked across the border in just a few minutes. I was aware of the $5 taxi ride but opted for the 10 peso bus which I was comfortable navigating given that I am a capable Spanish speaker. The bus ride was only 5 minutes or so and I exited on Revolucion and Benito Juarez Blvd which was only about three blocks from the hotel which I reserved online. I opted for a hotel a few blocks away from the action on purpose. I had read prior reviews about bass pumping into the hotel rooms all day and night and that was a non starter for me. I checked in to the hotel and then went for a $25 one hour regular massage before kicking off the afternoon/night. After that I went back to the hotel for a shower and ventured back out, fully recharged.

It was still daylight when I arrived in the few square blocks of bars and fun. Always nice to see things in plain sight vs. obscured by darkness. I did stop in to La Gloria and Adelitas for a beer at each before strolling the streets some more and finally making my way into Hong Kong, which I did visit on my last trip. On my last trip I had fun at Chicago Club but just never made it there on this trip. So, this was my maiden voyage into HK and it was a lot - in a good way. When I entered they did check for temperature, mask required and a light frisk. I entered via Chavelas at one point and via HK directly another time, neither time was cover charge required perhaps since it was still early.
