A Not so Happy Birthday to me

As I am getting older, the crowd of high volume Friday and Saturday nights is becoming less appealing. Thus, I have begun to wonder what my favorite clubs looked like on off nights. As my birthday fell on a Monday this year, I decided what better gift for myself. All in all, just an OK experience this time.

The layout is the same as it has always been, 3 stages (though only 1.5 were used tonight) with only the one giving you an up close view of the dancers. Mandatory valet ($8) and bathroom attendant on duty. Cover was $8 at about 9PM. About 10-15 girls and about 20 customers at its peak.

The bartender was pretty attentive getting me my 3 $7.5 beers (includes tip) and appetizer ($11 plus tip). As expected, the quality of the dancers wasn't on par with the weekend crew (mostly 7's with a couple 5's and 8's sprinkled in). While on beer #3, I began to give myself the timeline of when to cut my losses and bail. Just then a dancer sat down, saying the hostess had sent her over. She introduced herself and asked if I wanted some dances. Although she was only slightly above average by my tastes (6-7), I took her up on the offer, figuring a couple dances to avoid going home empty handed wouldn't be a bad idea. 2 turned into 4 high mileage lap dances that were enjoyable by both of us.

Now that my interest had peaked, I began to seek out another target. After an hour of searching, I caught the eye of one of the 8's. I opted for a Champagne Room to end my night. This time, I should have quit while I was ahead.

Don't get me wrong, her dances were sensual with good mileage. But 3/4 of the way in, she brought up the idea of tip. Now I typically take care of the ladies (approximately 1 songs worth for every 2-3 danced) but her initial asking price was more than 10x what I usually give for equal or greater mileage. I talked her down to twice what I typically give but it definitely soured the remainder of the dance and I left soon after.
