Good Friday at SC

Yes, this club is described in literally hundreds of reviews, but maybe you're only reading this one. I'll start from the top.

Silver Criket is right on Michigan Avenue across the street from fast food places and other pedestrian buildings. Not a shady part of town at all. The entrance is around the back as is the large, fenced in parking lot with no valet. I arrived at 2pm, left my jacket in the car to avoid the mandatory coat check, and walked in. Bouncer glanced at me and then looked back at the stage. Didn't offer to seat me or anything. That entrance is on the south side of the room. The east wall is entirely the bar with 3 TVs overhead. Always tuned to either ESPN or the music video for whatever the DJ is playing. On the southern wall are two booths and the western wall has three more booths. The stage is in the center running north-south with a pole on either end. I've never seen more than one dancer on the stage at a time, but I image they could have two when it's busier. There are about 8 or so small tables around the stage on the North/east/south sides. Entrance to VIP is on the north wall, next to the DJ booth. The rest rooms (no troll!), ATM, and vending machines are in the northwest corner. In the northeast corner is the entrance to the kitchen or something. Obviously, I've never been back there. They don't allow smoking so you won't stink like several of the other nearby clubs.

2pm on a Friday I wasn't expecting much and I usually use SC as a warm up. I just wanted water, but that costs $10 so I ordered a beer and glass of water no ice for $8. It was busier than I expected with 4 AA dancers and 6 white dancers. Two of the dancers were extremely good looking and had more of the spinner body that I normally look for. Those two were sitting in the booth a guy I presume to be their manager since they'd work the floor and then go back to him. The other dancers all seemed to be chatting with regulars, trying to get some business going so I decided to hang out and see what happened. Had plenty of girls stop by and I missed most of their names. Ones I caught were Aria, Fantasy, Elizabeth, Cassie, and Lexi. All were friendly and chatted before asking about business and were fine when I said I was still looking and even checked back later. The clients ranged from business types still wearing sport coats to guys who do real work in real work clothes. There was pretty regular traffic in and out of VIP. I recommend not sitting with your back to VIP or you can miss who you're looking for.
