Good Guys and the dream of a DC lap dance club.
Once again I ventured in a few Friday afternoons apart. The club continues to pick up, though even on a Friday afternoon I haven't yet seen more than a dozen customers at a time. The dancers are better looking and more consistent lately. And I can confirm, with my own eyes, that there are "private" dances now that do offer some level of contact.
First of all, I guess the first Friday was actually a Wednesday, the 10th of November, so I say it counts. I got most of the names the first time, but the general description is mostly 6-7, a few 7-8, many seemed hispanic or mixed race, not too many tattoos, though most sported at least one, and for the most part natural bodies ranging from slim and athletic to the more common curvy verging on big. I can't recall any obvious boob jobs (outside one of the bartenders). All were pretty friendly, though seemed to stick to what I assumed were their regulars (or just guys who had put in a bit of time before I got there). The club description has been done recently enough, so I'll move on to the dances. GoodGuys has never been known for shy dancers. A trip to the stage with a few singles was a guaranteed close encounter with the kitty, or at least a good long unencumbered view. But in the old days there was a rule against floor work. Dancers weren't allowed to leave their feet to go on their knees or butt or back. That is no longer the case. This was sort of a city-wide rule, stretched in a few clubs, and I haven't been around DC to the clubs to know if this is just benign neglect on the part of the city, or if the rules have officially or unofficially relaxed. Almost all the dancers were down on the stage giving wide open views that night have got them pulled off stage in the past. There was also a certain amount of discrete touching on the dancers part, of themselves. The usual brushing up contact for the customer is still something most dancers do, either onstage or off, for regulars and good tippers. Still a great value for the dollar. Drinks are still in the $10 beer range. Nothing new or unusual for a DC club.
Now for what is unusual for the DC clubs. For years DC clubs have been trying to introduce some sort of "private dance". Most don't get any further than the air dance on your table or the same air dance in a semi-public cubicle before they get sued. Well on my last visit I can confirm that Good Guys has "private dances" that, officially or just by the blind eye turned, feature contact. Some other reviews have mentioned the hallway of curtained off cubicles in the back, but on a trip to the men's room I could see that through that transparent curtain there was a dancer draped over a customers lap and there was contact. I didn't want to stare or linger, and my intent was to confirm the level of contact personally on my last visit, but unfortunately it didn't happen.
