Quick Stop on a Slow Afternoon
On the Monday after Thanksgiving, I was passing through Atlanta and wanted to see the remodeling that was done at the club since my last visit about seven months ago. Seems like the changes are an improvement, but the club is still dark and ratty-looking inside.
Here’s the stuff minnow will reject my review for as being “incoherent,” possibly because apparently he can’t follow things if they’re not written in complete sentences: Visited 1:30-2:30 pm. Free parking in a decent-sized paved lot. Light pat-down at the door, no ID check or COVID protocols. Cover was $10.00; bottled water was $5.00 and a dancer drink I bought was $12. Large stage in the front room, a very small one in the back. Small bathroom, no troll. Posted sign in the front room says “Floor dances $10 noon to close.”
I don’t like the booths for seating, as they’re a little open, and this is where all the floor dances are done. It seems like the remodeling was limited to the back room, where they ditched the pool tables and made the rest of the space look like the front. I got dances at booths in the back room, which was a little more private but only because the club was so empty at this early hour.
