Reasonably nice club, lots of dancers, zero-touch lap dances, but decent mileage VIP dances
I chose to give Silk (Downtown Milwaukee) a try mostly because it was convenient. I was staying in downtown Milwaukee and it was an easy walk. For those driving, there's a ramp across the street and public parking in a couple of surface lots within a block of the club itself. Signs gave rates of $8 - $20, depending on day, time, and events. For what it's worth, the Thai restaurant a block away was decent. The club's facade is very subtle, with just a discreet "S" sign outside. When I left the club (around midnight), there was a doorman outside, but he wasn't there when I arrived (a bit after 9:00pm Thursday and Friday). Cover was $10 Thursday and $12 Friday. They offered a coat check without any extra charge.
The club is fairly deep, extending into the building. A bar runs most of the length of the right side of the club. The main club floor has three small circular stages spread through the space, with tables and chairs between them. On the left is a slightly raised area separted by a partial wall that has couches/benches for reserved/VIP seating. The main part of the club felt somewhat narrow and crowded with the geometry, making the club feel smaller than it really was. There were lots of TVs behind the bar, on the end wall, and in some of the VIP bench spaces.
When I arrived on Thursday there were at least 25 dancers, probably more, and yet there may have been one other customer besides me. There were three or four bartenders working and a few waitresses. It was one of the most lopsided ratios of customers to workers I'd ever seen. More people arrived later, but on Thursday there were never a ton of patrons. Friday eventually got pretty full. A bottle of water, easy to get with the many bartenders, was $5.
