Well, it does not always work out for me after I enter one of the west of Detroit institutions, but I usually know when to cut my losses and move on. This visit was not one I am proud of. There are at least three ladies that are often reviewed working at Hanks N, all six letters C, D and N. I have appreciated my time w each of them and I came today in hopes of meeting one of them or the Vixen that has also been reviewed well. That didn’t happen and I walked away w my head down.

The facts: the parking lot is a mess, but fenced and free. Entry is five dollars and you collect a ticket that must be presented to the waitress who takes your beverage order. Beer is $7, so ten bucks for me w tip. There is a stunning waitress, petite w a rocking body. I am sure she gets requests, but I have never heard of any success making progress w her. The setup at Henry’s north is seriously odd, three stages, one elevated straight after you enter, another (2) center stage that is elevated near the bar and a third (3) that is less elevated and much larger in the area behind the bar and near the VIP area.

Honestly, I never know where to sit. If there are enough dancers and the large stage (3) by the DJ booth is operating I often sit near that stage, but it is loud and you can’t see stage one and have obstructed views of stage two. There is a small dugout area that faces stage 2 just to the right of the entry door, but that requires some maneuvering to get in and out. The upper stage one has seats around it, but you are distanced from stage 2 and 3. The bar seats face away from all stages so you either stare at TVs showing nonsense or spin around to view the live entertainment. Finally there are seats along the wall to the right of the bouncer w a chair on each side of a small table. Those spots provide the best vantage points for all three stages, but they are super awkward if you want to have a visit at your table from a dancer and they put you in the main traffic for folks entering and exiting. I’m no celebrity, but I do like to minimize the chances I bump into someone I know at these joints, so I prefer the lower profile seats.
