Is Hate-Grinding a thing?
So a few weeks ago I found myself in Clearwater late on a Monday night so I fire up google maps to see what’s close and I get hits from Oz & Diamond Dolls. They are very close to each other. I first cruise by Oz and it looked rather crowded so I kept going to Diamond Dolls (plus I have had a lot of experience at the DD in Pompano).
I find a parking spot on the side of the building, there was plenty of parking in the back but as a lone traveler in an expensive car that late at night in an unknown neighborhood I don’t take those chances. As you walk-in there is an outer room with a counter and cash register. On this evening there were 3 young Hispanic gentlemen trying to get in but the only had 1 ID between them so the manager had to come out to help the girl at the register. I finally paid my 8 dollars and made my way in.
It is a nice place inside. On the left when u walk in is the DJ booth, on the back wall is the bar, on the right is some raised booths VIP seating area and in the middle is a big X shaped stage with 4 poles and a smoke machine.
The place was fairly empty and I took a seat at the bar. Ordered a 1/2 priced (Monday special) Bud light and started to chill.
It took about 2 minutes before one of the girls came over. She was a short, Hispanic girl with long hair in her late 20’s said her name was Maria. Didn’t speak any English. I really wasn’t into her, but she wouldn’t leave. Told her I wanted to have a few drinks and chill, she just looked at me like I was speaking another language. After about 10 minutes of trying to avoid eye contact she walked off.
