Overpriced and underwhelming

Stopped in on the Sunday evening before Columbus and indigenous peoples day, and was pleasantly surprised by the number of cars in the parking lot. I used one of my calendar cards for a free admission (THAT is always a good investment!) and after a short wait the doorman found me a table over near third stage. One thing I have to add, they don’t seem to hang around and wait for a tip, which is nice and from what I understand not the norm.

Waitress came by and advised that domestics were two dollars which was a nice surprise. Cute blonde on stage, so I went up and tipped her and chatted for a minute. Returned to my table and had a fairly quick succession of three “Ploppers”. They were pleasant enough and they all chatted for a song or two before asking about a dance, but none were really my type. I would say that there were 50% more dancers than customers, but as I scanned the room, I realized they were not the usual Curves-caliber.

I overheard two different girls (both were 7’s at best) talking to customers and quoting them 30 and $35 for champagne room dances, which I was not about to spring for especially given the talent level. Finally the blonde I had tipped on stage came by and we talked for a good ten minutes before she asked about getting dances. I suggested we do one on the floor first before deciding on Champagne room, and she replied that her floor dancers were $20. I flashed her a big smile, a thank you for stopping by, but no thank you. She gave me a brief hug then took off in search of victims.

It then dawned on me as I finished my second beer that I think I had only seen one or two floor dances happening and very little traffic going back to the Champagne room. Hopefully this pricing strategy is backfiring on the ladies and come to an end.
