Enjoyable Visit on this Rainy Afternoon

This review of Tommy’s Too is about three weeks old. I wasn’t going to write a review since some are probably getting tired of the same old stuff about this place, but there is some news I read this week. The owner “Pat” passed away and I am curious if there are going to be any changes coming. Some other news, about two months ago there was an exodus of dancers for some reason here. My favorite, Juicy was one of them and Sunny was another. Juicy is now at Scarlet Lounge. I stopped by SL not too long ago and tried to find out what happened at Tommy’s from her, but she didn’t want to spill the drama. I did get a few dances from her, but was not the same as Tommy’s. Not sure I will repeat. Since I am mentioning SL, there is a price schedule in the lap dance booth that says $30/dance or 4 for $140. Hmmm, you do the math! SL gets my vote for the worst stage/rack in Portland. Okay, on with Tommy’s.

This SE Foster club sits at the beginning of a long stretch of homeless campers on both sides of the road. I can’t imagine why folks want to exist like this, but then again I have never been jobless, have mental illness, or an addition problem unless you add strippers and hookers in that mix. Tommy’s building has seen better days and years since any improvement on the outside. It is a small structure with a wood fenced patio on the outside near the busy Foster road. There is also a pothole dirt road on the east side, which I think would be a little dusty in the summer. Like the building, the fairly large parking lot has seen better days with half of it just gravel. The inside looks like the typical dive bar with one stage, several high top tables scattered about and a juice bar with half a dozen chairs. This place advertises as a Lingerie/Model business instead of a strip club. It is really a hybrid between the two. It is not the typical lingerie/model that you would find along 82nd ave. Also, I think you will experience the prices at Tommy’s are less than 50% as those along 82nd.

No mask needed to enter as well as no bouncer, no id check, and no cover. In my experience, the second highest coke prices of all clubs at $8/each for that $.25 can of pop (Cab II is $9 a glass but you get a refill..lol). Well, I am not there to drink coke anyways. I did say juice bar (no alcohol) which works in both the dancer and patron favor at this place. In other words, it keeps the OLCC police away from random checks. I got my liquid gold coke from a new and not so friendly bartender. There was a tall, athletic, cute, AA dancer sitting at the bar and she immediately got up and headed to the stage. I was the only patron in the club until I went to leave, which now had several customers. There were also two other white spinner body types at the club on this Sunday afternoon. All new faces to me.
