If the Indy-area strip clubs are broken into three tiers, then the Brass Flamingo is easily one of the top-tier clubs* - and that's despite the fact that, both inside and out, it gives the ambiance of a country bar rather than a true show club. This visit was no exception.

BBF is located away from both downtown and the interstate, in an area where there are a couple of other bars but no other clubs for miles around. Hence it's not the most convenient place to get to (though there is a direct route from downtown), but as a local, it's still one of two or three places I've frequented the most over the past few years; I probably have averaged 1-2 visits a month during non-COVID times. I keep coming back because it's a comfortable setting which consistently features one of the city's best selections of girls (at least on weekends - I have very rarely been there on weeknights and never on days). That I can get in free also doesn't hurt; the trick to this is to buy one of their "Boobies Make Me Smile" club T-shirts and then wear it during your visit. I bought a couple for $25 each during charity fund-raisers about three years back, and they have paid for themselves several times over in free admissions. (Some of the dancers really take to them, too.)

The club's floor is long and L-shaped, with the hook having a small secondary stage that dancers sometime use for practice during slower periods. (You don't have a full view of the main stage from this part, so this area is usually more for people who are more interested in drinking and long conversations than watching.) There are bars at each end, with the couch dance area, curtained-off booths, and Brass Room (the elite room) all located beyond the bar most distant from the entrance, at the corner of the L. A covered, fenced-in porch that serves as a smoking area lies beyond that. The rest of the floor is centered around a long, barbell-shaped main stage, which has a pole in each end and at the middle and is surrounding by a waist-high railing. (In pre-COVID times this was surrounded by chairs, but they have not made a return since COVID restrictions.) The stage's most distinctive feature is that it's only one step up, so dancers are elevated not more than a foot above the floor. On the plus side, that makes them very accessible when you step up to the stage; on the minus side, seeing the dancers when they're not upright can be hard unless you're in the front rows of round tables on each side. The DJ booth is directly opposite the center of the stages and also only slightly elevated.
