After a long hiatus, I visited GGC on its standard Wednesday $20 lapdance day. The club was decent enough, with a long catwalk like stage and pole, with bar areas at either end. Only one side had a bartender and customers seated getting drinks. No one sat in perverts' row along the catwalk, rather everyone was sitting either at the bar or in chairs back from the stage. Customers walked up to the stage to tip and receive a little attention from dancers, which was usually just the dancer gripping the dollabills in her boobs. They each danced 2-3 song sets, and all but one got nude by the last song. Music was a mix of rock and rap/hip-hop.

There were 6 or so dancers, a mix of white, AA, and a couple Latina looking. The most attractive (and busy with dances) seemed to be Morgan and Ashley. Overall dancer quality ranged from 5-8, so I was occasionally grateful they had the TVs on ESPN2. Even though the club posts a dancer schedule on their website, it was useless. I don't think they change the names, just the dates. Customers were a mix of middle aged white & AA guys - typical daytime crowd. Since it's discounted lapdance day, the dancers were pretty busy, which lead to a "take a number" kind of feel. Not a lot of time for pleasantries, just the occasional "wanna dance?" interaction.

There was a sign at the entrance saying that masks were required to enter, though there wasn't anyone really checking for that - no bouncer, no cover, no ID check, either. About half of the 12-15 customers wore masks, lowering them when drinking. Dancers had them on while on stage. You could tell they're worried about getting in trouble with the city or county, since I heard the bartender yell for a dancer to put her mask back on when she took it off to talk with a customer who came up to the stage. That said, they weren't required when doing lapdances - something about not needing them when sitting down versus walking around, which makes zero sense. The other obvious nod to the 'Rona was that the lapdance couches were covered in clear thick plastic, like the kind your grandma used to have in her living room. Slick to sit on, so you had to brace yourself whilst being grinded upon, so kind of weird. It's not like LDK'ing was gonna happen, since the dances are fairly tame: only some limited two-way touching allowed, but only places not covered by bra or g-string. That's a bit of an improvement from years ago, when some minders told customers to basically sit on their hands, which sucked. Now they don't have a minder making rounds through the lapdance area at all, but the dancers are good enough at enforcing the house rules. Some grind, as mentioned, but tops and bottoms stayed on. Also, as others have mentioned in the past, the lapdance area has bench seating, so even though it's away from the floor, customers can see one another if they're not on opposite ends of the entrance. Dancers try to space themselves out to avoid that awkwardness. Still, I'd say they're only worth it given the $20 price. After an hour's entertainment, I left only about $100 lighter. Pretty laidback experience.
