A club on the ropes?

Came here on a Thursday night around 10pm after a poker tournament at Commerce Casino. Used to come here every now and then when I was in the area for business, but my visits tapered off before the pandemic and then hit a brick wall during Covid. Unfortunately, the place is still reeling from the after effects of being closed for so long and according to the shift manager, many of the regular crew of dancers that had been a staple here for so long have either left the business entirely or moved out of state. The independent contractor mandate in the state of CA hasn’t helped matters either since dancers now get paid hourly. The are renovating the club, which looks nice, but when I got past the rude door guy there were only 4-5 dancers working and they were all on their phones. The energy here was just depressing as there was only one patron sitting in the back and the dancers that were there, didn’t even take the stage because there was no DJ or music (he had called in sick). Maybe I went on a bad night, but the whole place was poorly staffed. 2 dancers approached, both skinny black haired young Latina girls, in their early 20s but I politely declined as they weren’t my cup of tea as I’m into full figured women. Tipped the bartender and left. May give it a go in a few weeks
