A bit pricey, but gorgeous women and quality lap dances
I was staying in Manhattan and thought I'd try out one of the "different" clubs, that advertiseis themselves as more of a lap dance party than a strip club. I ended up going to Rosewood Theater. It's on the west side, near the river, and a fair walk or short cab ride from my midtown hotel. (OT: Cab fares were significantly less than Lyft on this trip, contrary to previous ones. And taxis were easily summoned with the Curb app, so there was little downside to using them.) The last part of the walk started to feel a bit empty, but seemed as safe as anywhere else I walked in Manhattan. I arrived around 9pm on a Tuesday.
At the entrance they asked if I was a member or had an email invitation. I had the latter (you can get it for free by signing up at their website). That gave me free entry, instead of the usual $20. It provided no discount on the wristband for the VIP lapdance area, however; that was still $60. There was a sign on the door saying masks were required, but no one was wearing one, so either it was just never taken down or was otherwise being ignored.
After paying at the counter the main room was through some doors. There was a small bar, with just a bit of room for standing and placing drink orders, and a small space next to that with a high-top table or two. The rest of the club was set up with couches of various kinds, with coffee tables and whatnot to hold drinks. The decor had a bit of an old-style feel to it (I'm not good enough with design to quote an era) but was comfortable and in good shape. A few of the couches were reserved for bottle service, and others were just open.
