Saturday night Playground: fewer girls, but a quality experience.

After a few bad experiences I had with the hustling atmosphere of some of the girls at the clubs near me on the south end of town, I decided to head up to Playground last Saturday night. It seems to still have the same atmosphere as Sands: not a lot of pressure from the girls, pretty good availability, and a fairly small backroom with 2-3 lap dances going on. There were fewer girls here than other Saturday nights I've been, and I hope that isn't a trend. I believe I saw 5, although there may have been more backstage as I wasn't on the floor all that long. And a couple of favorites were either not around or were in the back somewhere that I didn't see them for the hour I was there. I had some drinks at the Thunderbird bar next door, which was nice: I like to relax with a drink, and I prefer the clubs with a bar next door I can walk to. The area is nice: no worries about leaving my car there, and parking is easy to come by.

The songs continue to be a bit longer than other clubs, and I got two lap dances. One from a larger, curvy blonde girl who's name I couldn't hear over the music, which was nice, but not a lot of mileage: I hadn't seen her before, so maybe she wasn't getting an "interested-in-more" vibe. I stopped after two dances because it didn't seem to be escalating. And one from a skinnier, athletic blonde who I'd seen before but never gotten a dance from: I think her name was Jenny, but again, my hearing isn't the best in a club. If she drives, she definitely drives stick shift, and she immediately places my hands in some places where I was happy to have them go. I actually had to have her slow down a bit, as I wasn't quite ready to, eh, call it an evening by the second dance, but by dance four, I accomplished my goals and were were good.

Both dancers charged $40 per dance, and nobody ever asked me to buy a drink or pay a cover charge, which was new: they may have simply not seen me come in? No complaints from me. Overall, I continue to like the atmosphere here: the low pressure means I can hang out and not feel badgered into dancing with someone, and while the back room doesn't have a lot of privacy, the regular girls here are fun and seem really intent on making sure I have a good time, and the only times I've ever had a 'meh' experience, I've never seen that girl again, so I think they must work to keep the quality up.
