Always a gamble...but worth the try
Went into Coz's after several years of not stopping by for at least a beer during the annual canoe trip. Got there about 6 PM and there wasn't a single dancer. The bar tender was really cute and we all tried to get her to do a little stage show, but it wasn't happening. The bar is set up like other reviews have indicated. Enter off the parking lot to the rear, since there weren't any girls, there wasn't a cover, but it's usually $5. to the left of the door is the "private dance" area. Really just a small area with chairs that is completely open to the bar, but a little darker. Pool table next to the stage, which is a little area with a pole that is about 18 inches off the floor. To the right is a small room that looks like it can be bought out for a party or something. A couple more pool tables and the bar is in the main area next to the bathrooms. The place hasn't changed in the 15 years I've been going there, off and on.
We stuck around for a couple of shots with the really cute bartender, Cayman, and some pool. She was working hard to keep people in the bar, but guys would have a beer and bail. As we were leaving, a dancer finally showed up. Guys, she was about 5'5" and an easy 150 pounds. I'm not into that type of girl, so continuing to leave was an easy choice.
To be fair, I have been here when they had some decent talent, but it's pretty hit or miss. If you are in the area, not a bad place to just stop in and take a chance. Otherwise, save the $5 cover and $7 beer and keep moving.
