Wednesday Night in Columbia (July 2021)

I was driving across the country in mid-July and hoped to visit clubs each night (beginning with Atlanta, but I got into Atlanta too late). Nothing went as planned; but I was able to visit clubs in Columbia (below) and Denver (another visit to Platinum 84; review to come).

I visited Club Vogue around 11:30 on a Wednesday night (must have been July 14th). I stayed for about two hours.

1. First Impressions. The club looks modest and possibly dive-y from the outside. The inside, the club itself, is surprisingly bigger and nicer than I expected upon arrival. When you arrive, you find yourself at something that might be the smallest bar in America. It is a micro-bar that serves beer and mixed drinks. The bartender was very friendly add helpful. Customers are not permitted to bring alcohol into the club; the club itself has a window, so you can buy a drink and look in the window. It might be difficult for the club to distinguish between, say, a plain Coke vs a Jack and Coke. But that's up to you.
