First time to the Cellar. The ladies told me the story of the place and some of its "restrictions". Apparently the city of Joliet has a low tolerance for strip clubs and similar locations. Per the girls, the city would love to see the Cellar closed down. However, since it has been there so long (decades), they are grandfathered in and not really looking to go anywhere. Because of the amount of scrutiny from the City in the past, the facility is squeaky clean (for a strip club. Not the facility itself, but amount of shenanigans). Knowing that, it helped explain why all this is more of a bar with friendly female "hosts". Yes, they can take you in the back and give you a private dance, but there is no pretty bits on display. Ladies are friendly and eager to part you of your $20 dollar bills ($20/song), but they will let you pick the song ($1 each) and it can be anything, even a 6:30 minute play of the Eagles "Hotel California" (like that really perks things up...). Contact varies by lady, but everything must stay on top.

Girls vary in looks and personality (like most places). A bit on the older side, but friendly. Drinks were not great price but not terrible either ($5 for juice, $10 for ladies drinks).

Not sure what I was looking for when I arrived. Already had a few before coming in, so just wanted some attention. Left having made a connection, but still wanting "attention". Think this is a place for drinks and chatting with the occasional clothes rub. Its my kind of vibe (bit of a dive), but without the skin and play, I probably won't go back.
