True Diamonds, Still Keeping On and With Some Improvements

I see that there hasn't been a review of this club since the Silky's days, and since I've visited TD since COVID restrictions were lifted, I thought I could offer an update for anyone interested.

With more than a few altercations and shooting incidents around the club in the last few years, owner Lou and his wife have made some recent changes in an attempt to help minimize the possibility of trouble... formerly just an after-hours club, they now open at 11pm, and I was really surprised when I got there (11:45 or so?) that there were a good number of girls on hand. In the old days, the club would have to be open for at least a couple hours before they approached full staff, and at that point it could well be 2-3 in the morning... so while patrons are still minimal at this time of the night, at least the rotation of dancers was steady and varied.

The other thing that they decided to do, and I think this is absolutely for the best, is to cut off alcohol service (all complimentary) at 2am. Of course, with the club being open through the night into the next day, many of the incidents with patrons (fights and worse) happened in the very drunken hours closer to sunrise. It is kind of a bummer for someone like me who is not trying to over-drink, to get cut off at 2am... but it's worth it not to have to deal with all the trouble.
