Friendly Reopening

A friend of mine texted me around 8pm last night and said he wanted to check out the Smiles reopening. This is one of the local Hudson Valley clubs that has been closed for almost the entire pandemic. I am never one to turn down a trip to a club so we met up and wound up getting their around 10.

When we walked in I was shocked that the place was full of customers. I say this because when I went to Smiles after they renovated the place, and even before Covid was a thing this place was still pretty dead. But last night was a different story. The entrance fee is 10 plus tax...which is weird AF to have them doing it that way. So with the tax it's like $10.40 to enter. IDK anyone asking for the 60 cents back so it turned into an 11 dollar entrance fee. You also are required to buy one drink. Went to the bar and was told the water I wanted would be $5 for the first one and then $4 the rest of the night if I wanted one. Got my singles and went to sit at some available seats away from the stage. The taxes also are applied to the lap and private dances as well.

Everything is the same setup here from the remodel. 1 large stage with only 1 girl dancing at a time. Then you have girls who walk around the floor. The prices for dances have gone up a bit here just like most places. 1 song lap dance is now $30, which I think was $25 last time I came here. 2 song dance is $50. A private 15 minute dance is $100, 30 minute $200, and 1 hour is $300. Pretty standard.
