Dissapointing post-pandemic experience; but maybe an off night

Had been to Tootsie's a couple of years ago, and certainly appreciated its sprawling nature, mix of sports bar and nice(r?) strip club (not very nice by 'club' Miami standards, but definitely nice by middle America standards, and overall solid service. It's an impressive operation that probably couldn't exist anywhere else in the US except Vegas and maybe Tampa.

Tonight was definitely as great as my previous experience, and that may have been how late we got there: right after midnight on a Sunday. However, many beautiful dancers were still present on stage and interspersed in the crowd, and there was still a decent crowd (again, this is Miami after all) watching basketball highlights. Previously I had gone at a better time, earlier on a Saturday night, and the amount of dancers in such a large space reminded me of Spearmint Rhino in Vegas, just not quite as hot, much less pricey, and with much tepid English skills. While my previous time the almost-always-Cuban dancers would often offer extras or urge you to go with the big money VIP room in broken English, they'd do it while still giving a great backroom non-VIP dance for the $25-40 they'd charge per song. This time, that wasn't the case. Maybe due to the pandemic, all three dancers I was interested in (two of which were white / US and fully fluent) were clear they weren't doing ANY backroom non-VIP dance / song. Instead they were only interested in spending their time giving me the "full Miami experience" in the VIP room for the hundreds that would cost.

Given I just wanted some normal per-song-but-still-sexy dances, I left a bit disappointed that wasn't an option. Again though, could have been an off night.
